Terms

The short rules for using Rhyme & Roots.

What this site is

Rhyme & Roots publishes acapella rap battles, lets you vote on them, follow artists, chat during battles, and request services from the team. It is run by the Rhyme & Roots team. Using the site means you accept these terms.

Your account

You sign in with your own Google account and you are responsible for what is done with it here. One person, one account. You can delete your account at any time from your profile.

Voting

One vote per person per battle. You can change your vote until the team closes the battle. Votes are for fun and for the fans — the team decides the official result of a battle and may set it independently of the vote count. Trying to game the vote (multiple accounts, automation) gets the accounts involved removed.

Chat and conduct

Battle chat is public. Keep it about the battle: no threats, harassment, hate, spam, or posting other people’s personal information. The team can remove messages and can block an account from chatting, voting and booking without notice. Blocked members can still browse.

Booking requests

Sending a request from the Services page is an enquiry, not a contract. Prices shown are indicative. Nothing is agreed until the team replies and you and the team confirm the work, price and dates in writing.

Content

Battle videos, artist profiles, photos and text on this site belong to Rhyme & Roots or to the artists and may not be reused without permission. What you post in chat stays yours; by posting it you allow us to display it on the site. Links to YouTube, Spotify and social networks lead to services with their own terms.

Availability

The site is provided as it is. We aim to keep it running and to keep your data safe, but we cannot promise it will always be available or error-free, and we are not liable for losses that come from using it, to the extent the law allows.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the date at the top tells you when. Questions go to contact.rhymeandroots@gmail.com. These terms are governed by the laws of Georgia.
